This is a place to wonder at every crazy thing that God has done. Just as God is the God of all flesh (Jeremiah 32:27), the God of all hope (Romans 15:13), and the God of all grace (1 Peter 5:10), God is the God of everything we encounter. That means all the terribleness, all the silliness, all the culture, all the nature, all the nonsense. Which means anything is up for discussion, and anything is possible.
My own adventures with the God of all have brought me (variously) through a childhood in East Asia, teenage conversion to Christianity, teaching in the Mississippi Delta, work with the Interfaith Youth Core, depression, far too many hours of television, and marriage to the funniest and loveliest anti-social math teacher you could ever meet. I am currently Pastor of a United Methodist church on the Northwest Side of Chicago, trying to learn more about the God of all from everyone and everything I encounter.
